Through the vigorous implementation of ultra-low emission engineering projects and operational management controls, Xiangtan Steel has significantly reduced major atmospheric pollutants, including smoke, dust, SO2, and NOx. Compared to 2021 levels, emissions per tonne of steel produced have been cut by 56% for NOx, 71% for SO2, and 81% for particulate matter (PM). By upgrading its transport fleet and logistics structure, electric trucks now account for 47% of total road transport for inbound bulk raw materials and outbound finished products, elevating the overall clean transportation ratio (including electric vehicles) to 84%.
