Hunan Xianggang Metal Products Technology Co., Ltd. Founded in 1958, the company is located in the High-tech Zone in central Xiangtan City with a registered capital of RMB 300 million. As a national high-tech enterprise, it is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xiangtan Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. After the merger of the two predecessor companies, Hunan Xianggang Metal Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (Xianggang Metal for short) was officially registered in December 2018.

With over 60 years of development, the company has accumulated extensive expertise in manufacturing core products including steel wire ropes, PC steel strands and steel wires. Boasting an annual production capacity of more than 300,000 tons, it ranks among China’s large-scale metal production bases.

Equipped with domestically advanced integrated process equipment, its major complete production lines are imported from overseas suppliers or sourced from well-known domestic brands. The company operates three specialized manufacturing campuses dedicated to elevator steel wire ropes & high-performance steel wire ropes, PC steel strands, and high-performance steel wires respectively.

Its steel wire rope products are widely adopted across mining, metallurgy, construction machinery, elevators, ports, offshore fishing, petroleum, shipbuilding, bridges, tourism, national defense and other industries. PC steel strands are extensively applied in key infrastructure projects such as expressways, high-speed railways, mines and various power stations.

The company has developed flagship product lines covering special steel wire ropes (triangular strand, compacted strand, multi-wire composite line contact, multi-layer non-rotating rope, etc.), PC steel strands, galvanized steel strands and various spring steel wires. It features a complete range of product specifications and strong comprehensive supporting service capabilities.

The company has established a comprehensive quality assurance system. Its steel wire rope products have obtained API Spec 9A certification issued by the American Petroleum Institute, CCS factory approval certificate, MA certification and KA certification. The PC steel strand series comply with manufacturing standards including GB/T5224 (Chinese Standard), British Standard BS5896 and American Standard ASTM A416, and have passed international certifications recognized by the EU, Dubai, South Korea, Australia, Malaysia, Israel and many other countries and regions. The line contact steel wire ropes and mining steel wire ropes were awarded the title of High-Quality Product by the former Ministry of Metallurgical Industry. Steel wire ropes for critical applications, PC steel strands and galvanized steel strands have consecutively won various honorary quality awards.

The company maintains a sales network covering 25 provinces and municipalities nationwide, with export channels spanning Europe, America, Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Oceania and other regions.
