Xiangtan Steel is proud to have contributed to Germany's BorWin6 Offshore Grid Connection Project. Between 2022 and 2023, Xiangtan supplied approximately 20,000 tonnes of certified steel plates for the fabrication of offshore engineering structures and welded tubular components.
Developed and constructed by TenneT, a leading European transmission system operator (TSO), BorWin6 is a critical offshore grid connection project in the German North Sea. It is designed to transmit renewable electricity generated by offshore wind farms directly to the German onshore grid, providing vital support for Europe’s energy transition and sustainable development.
